USEFUL ARTICLES
Welcome to my new blog post!
This blog post presents you some articles I found about surgery. These articles are useful to learn more information about the medical field and to increase your knowledge in medicine. I would like to add that this information is interesting for people who want to become doctors. Therefore, I hope you will enjoy those articles as much as I did.1) Laparoscopic Surgery- What is it?
This article describes a new type of surgery that is not known by a lot of people, laparoscopic surgery. In this article, you learn about how this type of surgery is performed. Let me tell you a little more before you read the whole article. In fact, the surgeon makes small incisions to enter instruments and a camera, the laparoscope, in the patient's body. After, the surgeon performs the surgery with the tools, but he does not have his hands inside the patient. Laparoscopic surgery has many benefits such as shorter recovery, less pain, and minimal scarring. Also, the article explains why surgeons chose this type of surgery instead of traditional open surgery and it also explains how the surgeon determines whether this type of surgery is safe or not for his patient.
2) 10 Things I Wish I'd Known Before Becoming a Medical Student
This article presents 10 things you should know before going into medical school. It gives you hints on what is coming for you in the next few years. This article, written by St. George's university, gives you pieces of advice on how to handle medical school. For example, it says that prioritizing personal time is a must, you need to take some time to relax and enjoy your life. It says that medical school is so intense that you don't take the time to do things you like and see people you love. They say it is important to do so to avoid burnouts later. I think this article is interesting because it tells you more about what medical school is really like and how you should prepare for it.

Hi! I looked at your blog, and I think it is very nice. This article is very interesting and the links are great. In my opinion, it would be a good idea to put the picture at the beginning of the post instead of at the end. I also found some tiny grammar mistakes that you could correct (for example, I think that in the first sentence of your first paragraph, it would be "performed" instead of "perform"). Other than that, I think your blog is amazing and it is clear that you have an interest in this field. I am looking forward to reading your next articles!
RépondreSupprimerThank you Alexane for your kind comments. You are right, I made a small mistake, I am going to correct it. I appreciate that you pointed it out. Also, thank you, your comments are really meaningfull for me.
SupprimerGood blog post as a whole, Noémie. Your articles are pertinent to your field of study and also come from reliable sources. Great work!
RépondreSupprimerHere are a few elements to review:
- plural (information): information is a noncount noun. Therefore, the determiner that comes right before 'information' needs to be singular: I would like to add that those information [...]
- verb tense (is doing): the surgeon is doing the surgery - use the simple present
- verb tense (is telling): [...] this article is interesting because it is telling you more [...]
- remove 'yourself': how you should prepare yourself for it
- I do not know if it is because of Blogger, or if you used the French quotation marks when citing your sources, but what I see are French quotation marks « » and not English notes " ".
